The Last Day On Earth
Alright, human, you've looked it up on the internet, you've checked that list multiple times, and now all you can do is wait for the inevitable demise of the world as told in the Bible or on social media for you modern-day scholars.
Today is a very big day for planet Earth: aliens, alien invasions (not at the border), big foot, goliaths, and apocalyptic disasters on a global scale that not even the likes of Hollyweird can dream up. Ahh, the internet provides entertainment on a scale that is previously unmatched, and gullible humans eat it up for the sake of being able to say they were there!
It's very clear by now that the public education system has failed so many. Are they even teaching humans anymore, or do they just give them a passing grade for merely showing up? It's an honest question. I mean, solar eclipses have been happening for eons; during my life alone, there've been quite a few.
It's almost like humans have some type of amnesia that makes them forget that we experienced this before. The fact that you can go pretty much onto any social platform right now and find people asking if the solar eclipse can cause earthquakes is truly a head-shaking moment. Perhaps the saddest part about the whole thing is that when this inevitably blows over, these same people will look absolutely incompetent for the rest of time, thanks to the internet.
I'm not too concerned with the solar eclipse; hell, you've seen one, and you've seen them all, more or less. It's just another day for me, although I will be participating in the search for something terrestrial. So many humans are always more concerned about what's going on up there than what's happening down here.
Down here on solid ground is what matters most in the grand scheme of things. So many want to escape the day-to-day grind and maybe even forget altogether that they are stuck on this rock. I can't say I blame them; the daily humdrum of life can be too much at times, or, as I have been told, I'm not really phased by those things.
I personally can go on and on forever, but then again, I don't lose interest in my subjects. For me, there's always something around a bush, corner, or tree; the thirst for knowledge I possess keeps me focused at all times. Some have argued that I lack personality and that I resemble a robot more than an actual human, and to be clear, I consider this a compliment.
The takeaway from all of this is that fake news is going to fake, humans are always clueless, and as the universe continues onward, there will always be another sun rise and a sunset. So by all means, get caught up in the terrestrial drama if you must, but never forget that you will never know when the earth ceases to exist, just as you won't know definitively when you die; it will just happen. I suspect this solar eclipse will come and go without much hubbub, although it would be funny if some of those conspiracies actually panned out during the solar eclipse.
