Introducing ABupStory
All about my latest website, which focuses on my stuffed animals and allows you to see the world from their perspective as they go on adventures.
14 Bups exploring the world is the tagline of ABupStory, launched the same day I created my silvrback blog. It's an episodic blog; every Sunday, a new entry drops. The blog is centered on my 14 stuffed animals, each with a different personality and seemingly uncanny characteristics.
The point of the blog is to allow the outside observer to see the world from the point of view of an inanimate object. The bups obviously do not talk; I narrate the content for them as they interact with their environment. ABupStory will never be monetized, period. It's a personal blog that aims to share a lighter side of life while enabling anyone the opportunity to tag along on the latest adventures as bups explore the world around them.
As I have stated before, I tend to avoid humans and do my own thing, independent of society. While I do not socialize with very many humans in my day-to-day life, I do interact with stuffed animals. Unfortunately, it's a one-sided conversation, but they seem to understand me more or less.
It's my opinion that stuffed animals are infinitely more interesting than humans in every way. For example, Snacky, my first beanie baby and Matriarch of the Bups, seemingly becomes animated at times even though she's an inanimate object. That's quite fascinating to me. The fact that others, including strangers, have remarked about her seemingly being happy or sad depending on situations reinforced for me that it wasn't all in my head.
From the moment I received her, I knew Snacky was different and not like the other stuffed animals. At first, I found myself questioning what she truly was and whether I was living in reality. Over time, though, I came to accept her as she is and no longer cared how it was possible for a stuffed animal to do what she does.
I accept her, as she accepts me, and together it's us versus the world, and our little club of mutual understanding has expanded to 14 stuffed animals, all with varying personalities that just mesh together really well, almost as if it were meant to be.
Ultimately, ABupStory is about the connection between a human and his rowdy pack of stuffed animals as we experience life together in a world where nobody understands us. Want to check it out? Click here (New Window)
