Hebonfield
Project Hebonfield is finally heading for public consumption!
Well, it's official: Project Hebonfield now has a web host; it looks like I'm actually going to get it online finally after years of procrastination. If you have followed me over to Silvrback from past iterations, you will know how much of a stickler I am for traditional websites.
In the modern era, from 2010 onward, I have used predominately full-blown websites that were mostly static content-based. Some did use blogs for dynamic content generation, but for the most part, the bulk of the content was static pages; blogging was an afterthought.
As with Silvrback here, Hebonfields brand new host is a blogging platform. It's not quite as simple as Silvrback; it's got bells, doodads, and whistles, and while it is fairly advanced, it has a minimalistic UI approach, which is fascinating to me. Most importantly, though, it allows me to add my own CSS and code injection so that I can aesthetically enhance it to my heart's content.
As of right now, I have two website projects assigned to this blog platform. ABupStory and Hebonfield; I will post more about the former later on. Hebonfield will be my science-based website. I describe it as a mix of traditional science with a less traditional approach, but I'm still fine-tuning and polishing what it will be.
Hebonfield has a launch date of May 10, 2024, although it's possible that I launch it earlier than that as I have been working on it for years and have some content ready to go. You can check out the placeholder page, as Hebonfield's domain is online.
