I captured this shot of the sky this evening on my Motorola phone, which is not bad for a budget device. I went to reach for one of my Canon cameras and tried turning it on, only to figure that I had forgotten to recharge its battery after last using it. Not to fear, I have a backup battery and forgot to recharge that one too. So I decided to utilize the backup camera instead, and guess what? I really need to get better at recharging batteries as soon as I return home.
Now all batteries are recharging, and while I didn't get the picture quality I was aiming for, I did get what you see before you. Zero processing—that's exactly how the sky looked hours ago as the sun was setting. There's a storm moving into the region right now; it's bringing rain and wind, which is a welcome sight after several days of heat.
I have never been a big fan of heat; our summers tend to be really brutal, and triple digits are common, at least for a period of time each summer. This upcoming summer is supposed to be a doozy, if you believe the hype. Anyway, I just want to share this capture, toodles.
